1. When a fork or pencil falls from a table out of pure reflex you catch it as it falls through the air.
2. You can concentrate on a point at the center bottom of your big toe and make your headache or eye tension go away.
3. You can concentrate on this point in another person's big toe and make their headache or eye tension go away.
4. Schizophrenic or manic depressive people feel safe around you. In fact, you may see some of them smile for the first time in their lives.
5. You see all women (or men if you are a female) as an outer expression of your inner self.
6. If you are sitting on the floor, two fullbacks from the Dallas Cowboys cannot lift you off the floor. In fact, they cannot budge you even a quarter inch.
7. Walking down the street you are aware if someone is coming up twenty feet behind. You just know things like that.
8. If a baby is crying on an airplane you can get it to fall asleep just by concentrating on it.
9. Gnomes like to hang out with you. They draw near when you are meditating. They even ask for tips on what purpose they should fulfill.
10. When you call or evoke a spirit, it actually shows up in front of you. Spirits like you. They see you as one of them.
11. Demons show you respect. They perceive there is nothing they can offer you or give you and so they realize you must be of high rank.
12. Sometimes when you meditate you find yourself in a cave deep beneath the ground. That is fine with you. It is so silent here there has not been a noise since the last earthquake a few centuries ago. That too is fine. You enjoy silence. You breathe it in. You find it relaxing. Silence is like quiet ecstasy.
And then you may hear a buzzing sound like a bee hive nearby. And a huge serpent appears in front of you. It is maybe thirty feet long and four or five feet wide but it also so tiny it begins to climb up inside your spine.
And then the goddess Kundalini appears in front of you. She likes you because, unlike so many Swamis who have the worst time trying to deal with her passion, she shares with you her secret—“I only desire to unite with my Lord Shiva, the transcendent one; he who stands free of all created things and yet oversees their transitions.”
You reply, “We share the same journey, the same longing and passion, the same desire to be one.” She smiles and departs after giving you her blessing. 13. Scientists can measure these things but you can actually hear the song the earth is singing to other planets.
