10. You don’t need to become a volcanologist to be near the real thing. You have a volcano, perhaps a super volcano, in human form living in your house.
9. Similarly, you do not need to jump out of a helicopter wearing an asbestos suit to collect a sample of fresh lava from the lava dome. You can sample the raw, primordial force of nature unleashing its power anytime that smoldering look in her eyes falls upon you.
8. You get extra karma points for being married to her. After all, if left in her own form she might be plotting to destroy the world with a super volcano when she is in the mood.
7. You learn the lesson that it is the little things that count. The sink not clean? Ants on the scrubbing brush? Towels left on the clothes line? Windows not locked when out of the house? It is not a concern. It is Deafcon 1 like the world is coming to an end. So you learn it is the little things that count.
6. How do you know she is a fire spirit of a great volcano? Simply close your eyes when you touch her upper arms, feel the energy, and see what image comes to mind. You may feel massive exploding fiery molten lava and ashes ascending or actually see in front of you a volcano erupting. Or perhaps you notice that Federal prosecutors and powerful people back off and go on high alert in her presence as if they are walking not on egg shells but in a field of smoldering sulfuric clouds and hot black rocks. They don’t really know why. They just go on high alert and act defensive or deferential around her.
5. For other people, perhaps when a woman enters the room there is a sense of a nurturing presence, a sense of emotional support and affection. Emotional support and affection are not in her vocabulary. Not unless what you need is strength, courage, and dynamic action in your life. Even in a casual conversation with her you may notice the subliminal effect on you—there is the sense of streaming crimson and orange lava more viscous than water flowing toward the sea or a lava tube two thousand degrees just beneath your feet. That is an awakening, a quickening, a wakeup call, if you will, ready in any moment to stimulate your will.
4. Having a salamander/fire spirit in your house, she serves as a body guard. Somewhere in some past life she learned how to kill people with her mind. Though latent and hidden below her threshold of consciousness, that laser beam of destruction is ready in any moment to rise up and protect those she cares about. It is also effective in keeping negative spirits at bay.
3. The fire spirits enter each moment seeking to strengthen their power of will. Every problem is a personal challenge or test for them. Every task is a chance to overcome and conquer the limitations placed upon them. Consequently, intimacy is a matter of “obey me” or “do as I say” or “unite behind my will.” Fire needs fuel and if you are close to one of these beings they may naturally think that if you care then you should share the energy you have to make them grow stronger.
2. On the other hand, fire spirits are only permitted to incarnate in human form if they place themselves under someone else’s authority. Otherwise, they are too dangerous. She may look innocent and harmless. But unrestrained, if her inner power were to appear on the human stage, you might have an absolute dictator seeking to solve the world’s problems in her own way. So you can always play the authority card, but only if you have the right words to speak. Fire spirits respond only to the greatest of magicians who can command them because they know the salamanders’ inner most dreams and the secrets of fire hidden at the core of their being. Or, put simply, always be ready to say, “Here is the problem to solve. Here is the task to accomplish. Here is the best means. Let’s get to it.” Distraction works on them because they are totally extroverted and so always prefer to act rather than to feel, to do rather than to think.
1. Doubt. You learn early on around one of these creatures of fire that there is no room for doubt or uncertainty. That is probably why she is in your life. She will search and probe every crevice and secret chamber in your heart and soul to see if there is the faintest doubt within you. And if she finds something, she will pounce on you like a pyroclastic flow racing 500 miles an hour down a hill burning fifteen hundred degrees, hot ash ready to incinerate you or bake you into a molten cast. So like I say, early on you learn to act without fear, doubt, or uncertainty. It is a valuable lesson to learn since acting with perfect conviction and certainty in all you do is one of the four fundamental mysteries anyone must master who would attain self-mastery.
Or, to put it simply, never ever again complain about anything. Complaining, blaming, or whining shows weakness of will and this she will not tolerate in you.
