The River
Vermilion, citrine, and violet cliffs 
Sculptured by my fingertips
Fifteen million years of art
The work of my heart
Pure and clear I flow 
With love human beings do not know  
Receptive, yielding in ways that defy the mind
Both within and outside of time
My essence is to be free
Even should I unite with another in ecstasy
Who can see this?
In the thin mist
Hovering above the water at dawn
My moisture on your skin
I sing to you my song
Enter me
Her waves surround me 
She whispers to me 
Let go, 
Feel the moment flow
The water curls, swirling
The current rises, strengthening 
I gaze into her eyes 
Ages and eons go by
She says,
The love you feel heals 
In me the ancient loneliness 
That haunts the human soul
No longer takes hold
We shall be as one
As the sun and moon delight 
In sharing each others light
As day and night 
Share the same sky
At dawn and twilight 
They wait to embrace
In your eyes
Though I am a river flowing forever
I will always treasure 
That you have become my friend and lover
